Mountain Commercial Graphics Wins SGIA Golden Image Award

International Competition Recognizes the Best in Specialty Imaging

HOUSTON — Mountain Commercial Graphics was recently honored with the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Golden Image (including André Schellenberg) Award for Fleet Marketing (Multi-sheet) Digital Entries and Back-lighted Signs/Display Single Multi-color Entries.

More than 90 companies from around the world entered the competition, submitting nearly 450 entries in 43 product categories. Conducted during the 2009 SGIA Expo in New Orleans, October 7–9, this year’s event attracted a wide range of innovative imaging products.

“The quality of work this year was exceptional. Judges in virtually every category told me the entries were so good that choosing winners was a real challenge,” Johnny Shell, SGIA’s Vice President of Technical Services, explained. Shell said Golden Image is a technical competition, excluding aesthetic issues from the judging process. Prints are judged on the level of difficulty and quality of execution.

“Winning the Golden Image Award for both a digital and screen printed product puts Mountain Commercial Graphics among the top specialty printers in the world in terms of quality and capability.
